Cookie Monsters

With this many people constantly around me it's very very hard to bake, and see the result of the hours spent in the kitchen.  Yesterday I made Gingerbread Men, and today I made Snickerdoodles.  I'm sharing the recipes on my Gluten Free Tab, so go ahead and check them out.  They are nommmers.  I was also going to make shortbread and chocolate-dipped sugar cookies, but I think I'll do that tomorrow.  My eldest was a good distraction for the littles while I packaged the untouched desserts and hid them in the freezer.  When youngest saw the empty counter-top, he immediately blamed the dog.

My dog does not have access to the counter.  FYI.

I love Christmas, and the fact that I can spend a small fortune on baked goods and create to my hearts content is actually calming.

I can relax now while my kids eat nothing but treats for a few weeks.  (A bit of an exaggeration here...but sometimes bribing with something scrumptious is the way to go.)
