Yep. I was 13 1/2 when I discovered the grunge band Nirvana. When I finally saved enough money to buy my first cassette tape a year later, the lead singer was dead. I was a sad Panda.
But.
The uber-talented Grohl, who's last name sounds like a premium Beer to me, continued on by himself.
Pretty cool story. I would hope some day Hollywood will make a movie about it, although I am sure they will be waiting until a certain widow is dead, or completely incapacitated.
*I may be sued by writing about this, she's probably due for some kind of face altering procedure, but I'm not worth anything, so there.*
Anyway, their new album should be purchased by every true music lover out there. Just saying.
I have another reason I love this band so much.
Our first date was a Foo Fighters concert, the small intimate kind.
That began a swift and speedy almost marathon run down the aisle, and has been getting stronger ever since.
We've seen our band a few times, hopefully they'll be doing a Canadian tour soon.
*hint hint*
One last thing: All 5 of our children almost instantly fall asleep when we pop one of our many CD's into the player in our Van, especially when it's 'All My Life'.
We're breeding the new generation of FF fans.
You're welcome.
