I'm a terrible mother.
I have many excuses.
I can justify my tardiness and you'd end up feeling great sympathy for me.
But, nevertheless, I am still terrible.
I have yet to celebrate my youngest sons 1st birthday.
Yes. You read that right. He turned one two days ago. He didn't get the usual cupcake, candles, balloons, nothing.
It's not that we don't love him. He is the one of the best surprises I have ever received in my life.

Being that our lives have been very hectic as of late, celebrating something the little man won't even remember got pushed back to the last on the list.
My guilt felt for that is because birthdays are very special to my family. We shower the person on their day. I grew up with that, my husband grew up with that. That's how it is. Especially the first. It's the beginning. It sets the stage, the very foundation of the joy in celebrating the day you were born!

#5 is very determined.
He's very opinionated. Yes you can tell already.
He's loving, ready with hugs and kisses.
He reminds me of another #5 who just had a birthday the day after, but who doesn't call his sister, so I couldn't wish him a happy birthday on the day, and had to resort to sending an email. Very personal, not.
Anyway, back to the cute one.

ReplyDeleteI love the last picture of him. So cute.
He's too cute.
ReplyDeleteHe'll be happy with his candle and cupcake whenever you have a chance to do it. :)
