Today

we were at

'Dranny's House'.

We haven't been for a while, and my kids were starting to wear out my eardrums from their constant questioning about when we were going to go.
And a few hours wouldn't cut it. No. That wouldn't do.
It had to be for the DAY. Or, at least over one meal.

My children suspect the food they receive at Granny's is decidedly more delicious and filling than anything I could ever give them.

We had a great visit. There's always something going on that's new and exciting for the rest of us. Sometimes we can jump right in and help. Other times we can stay out of the way, but watch and learn.

After a trip to town, and a yummy dinner, it was time to pack up for youngest siblings soccer practice. My brood and I were getting a ride back home from my ever gracious mom, and on the drive we were serenaded by my 2nd and 4th born. Loudly, on key, and proudly they sang,

"Oh Canada!"

Pretty neat to listen to my 5 and 2 1/2 year old sing our National Anthem.

Granny was tickled and told me I need to tape them somehow. I wish I could, but for now I can tuck it away in my memory log, which still works most of the time.

Goes to show you that despite the inattentiveness during morning song-time,

they are listening.

  1. They sang it so well! You'll have to find a way to tape them singing the National Anthem and post it for Canada Day. It was terrific!

  3. Tape them with your camera!! :D That's what I do. Picture's not great, but we'll be able to hear them, and that's what counts. :)
