Jeremiah 29:11

Jeremiah 29:11

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Yes.

We moved.

Once we got the bug to re-locate in October, that was it.

Kind of like when we decided to get married. No seconded guessing, decision made, let's get-er-done!!

We looked at 4 separate homes, at the four corners of the city. I was most comfortable in the west, because I am familiar with it. Or more so then any other part of the city.

The first one smelled like old diapers, was out-dated, but had an open green space in the back yard. I held my breath, pictured our family there, and felt content.

But,

My dear husband wanted to look at other places.

So, we shook the owners hands, thanked him, and plodded on to the next one.

And the next.

And the next.

Each time, something came up that just would not work and was not worth moving for.

We have a dog, so grass in easy reach is a necessity.

We have 5 very active kids, so space to run and play is a necessity.

And

I need to be able to turn around in my kitchen without hitting my behind on the counter. I have an ample one, that won't change, I'm happy with that, so I need to accommodate it.

So, a few weeks later, my lover calls the first landlord to see if his property is still available.

Seems that someone gave him a deposit, but then never came back.

We just happened to have the perfect amount handy, and so my husband lay claim to the house with a cheque.

Unknown to me, but I soon found out, our future landlord was up-grading.

New floors.

New toilets.

New light fixtures.

So, the dream I held dear to my heart, you know, the one where I wanted to live somewhere that was nice?

Well.

God provided that for me.

I didn't have to do a thing.

And that my friends is that.

Romans 15:13

13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
