I Like...

being naked.

I always have.

I remember being quite little, and taking off my clothes outside and running free, to the embarrassment of my mother I'm sure.

For a shy person, I'm not really very shy.

Sadly, I've passed this on to my daughter.

Only she, willingly takes off her clothes with no shame.

My oldest has to wear two tee-shirts or he feels naked.

The others like to be dressed in nice outfits.

Baby of course doesn't care either way.

But my little girl?

Loves to be naked.

Now, this is only when it is warm. Normally I really don't care, although for her brothers sake I try to convince her to at least wear her panties. A bathing suit works too.

Usually I can keep her pretty contained.

Except

when it's garbage day, and everyone is getting some kind of construction done on my street so there is a lot of stragglers standing around waiting to be told what to do.

That's when my 2 year old decides to escape out the front door, while my hands are tied up with something else.

That's when she hollers happily at the garbage man, waving frantically, nude as a Jay-bird.

That's when the construction dudes chuckle and wave as I wave back and scoop up the stinker running inside, red as a beet.

This is why I need to live out of town.

In a bush.

On a mountain.

She is a little stinker, that's for sure.

Her Aunt Adeena did the same thing to me, when she was about the same age. I had her all dressed pretty, because I was expecting Grandma and Grandpa to come. I was busy with Baby Heather, and Adeena was in the yard on her trike. I kept checking on her, but had to change a diaper. Adeena chose that moment to take her clothes off; Grandpa chose that moment to pull in the lane. I nearly died of embarrassment when I realized Adeena was running to the car to see her grandparents, stark naked.

    I sympathize with you.

  2. Hahaha!!

    That's hilarious.

My kids like clothes. And I'm glad.

Not that it would matter much where WE live....

I want to live on a mountain too.

All my kids love their clothes. ;) I've never had a stripper.

^Mom, I can't believe that is true. :P You must have made it up. ;)

I do like the thoughts of living on a mountain, though.

  4. Nope. It's the truth. I was embarrassed half to death; Grandma thought it was funny; Grandpa frowned a lot. But then, hey, he frowned a lot anyway. :D
