Six Things

As a tribute to my Wedding Anniversary,

I am listing the top 6 things My Wonderful Husband and I've accomplished,

in the past 6 years.

Only 6? Or holy cow 6!

You can be the judge.

6. We have no car payment.

Zero, zip, zilch. Being a single family income household, budgeting for a vehicle is tough to begin with. I can spend my money on other stuff, not that I do, because other things fill in the gap but you can understand the 'relief'.

5. We found a Church that's closer, and has
given us the encouragement we need
for our spiritual relationship.

That may seem like a petty thing but driving after you've been awake all night is not fun. Sleeping in is fun.

4. My hubby uses the hamper more often!

I can't say all the time, but these past few years I've started to point out that it's only 1 1/2 inches more to actually drop the clothes into the hamper than onto the floor. Use a mans language and he'll respond. Not fast, but eventually!

3. My hubby *tried* to cut his thumb off with a table saw,
rendering himself useless for a few months,
as we were adjusting to life with 3 week old twins.

Yep, that was quite the accomplishment. He had it almost perfectly gone, but a few layers of skin stubbornly held on. Thank you Lord for my family, my husbands family, and plastic surgeons.

2. We bought our first home. And got a dog, and another dog.
Then got rid of second dog; had two puppies from first dog and kept one,
so now we still have two very large dogs.

I'd say for two people who never wanted to be tied down, buying a house was a pretty large step. Especially a home that had to be renovated BEFORE we moved in. And did I mention we have two dogs?

And the top,

numero uno

thing

we did in six years??

1. We added 4 beautiful kids to our family.

That, ladies and gentlemen is my top 6 things to reflect on.

Because we've only made it this far by the Grace of God.

I'm looking forward to the rest.

  2. Yes, the best thing you've done is your family. And you've grown in grace. Can't beat that.
