My parents gave me a good model of marriage growing up, the reality that being in close proximity to another human being for so long brings out the worst in ourselves....and the ability to forgive so much so often. They aren't perfect, but if they never hollered at one another while I was growing up I would be that much more shamed that I yell once in a while.....
Family is very very important to my parents. They want all of their children to settle in close proximity to them. I live the farthest away, not by my choice but by faith in God that He is leading my family where He wills. So, because I can't jump in the van and zip over to see them, I figured at least writing a post about them acknowledges the fact that they are on my mind today.
Dad and Mom. Thank you for raising me in the home you did. Thank you for teaching me about The Lord. Thank You for helping me when I needed it the most, supporting me and my son, and giving me to my husband. Thank You for showing me that marriage is hard work, but has moments that will take your breath away. Thank you for having so many children and guiding me towards the confidence and the skills needed when dealing with my own. Thank You for homeschooling me, challenging me, and encouraging growth where my gifts lie.
I pray that more happy days come your way than bad, but most of all that your lives are constantly filled with Gods blessings.
**Happy Anniversary!!**
I Love You.
